Exactly What To Say
The Magic Words for Influence and Impact - book review

The Magic Words for Influence and Impact
This book is highly practical and lists a few expressions that enhance your chances of getting things coming your way.
It's a manual. A "cut to the chase" content that proposes ways of phrasing common situation expressions and explains why that particular phrasing might work in your favor.
I will not spoil the contents, but my favorite "magic word" is:
What makes you say that?
Life is all about negotiations, and negotiation is often about turning rejection around. To quote the author: "Success in negotiation is all about maintaining control in a conversation, and the person in control is always the person asking the questions."
I often fall into the bad habit of answering objections with counterarguments, trying to prove the other person wrong. Working hard to make my points strong.
Do I need to say I seldom get through with it?
